pre-VST cubase - version differences / heirarchy

steinberg sure make it confusing to know the differences between the different packages
(or even to understand that they are even different to begin with)

at the VST 3.x level there is:
-Cubase (standard)
-Cubase Score
-Cubase Audio XT

am i correct in thinking that Audio XT was the highest level at this point? because it included all the features of SCORE? the eXTra features it has (that none other possess) are that it supports the legacy hardware such as audiomedia III, session 8, akai dr8/dr16 hard disk recorder, yamaha cbx etc, but is the same as the others with the exception of the hardware support

Score is exactly the same as Standard the exception being that it has notation aswell?

XT also includes score features

i see the quote:

so they seem to follow the same 3 way split for each release level (3.x vs 4.x vs 5.x)
1 standard (maybe for those who only care about midi?)
2 score (for composers who are more worried about notation + songwriting?)
3 audio/vst (flagship ultra hq version more for people worried about audio recording quality)
was the price tags in that order too? 1 > 2 > 3 ? affordable - expensive
