is the audio impulses in a universal format?

Audio Ease Impulse Responses format is only suitable for Audio Ease Altiverb.
... but the Impulse Responses can be available in audio format (aiff and wav) and can be "imported" in most of convolution reverbs, including Altiverb.

if u click the links above it is explained that these are for altiverb..
modelled after the classic 1986 lexicon 480L hardware reverb unit (mega expensive)

some articles mentoning the 480L:
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug08/articles/reverbpart2_0808.htm
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/may07/articles/cla.htm
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/feb00/articles/lexicon.htm
http://fr.audiofanzine.com/reverb/lexicon/480L/
http://rdn.harmanpro.com/product_documents/documents/1080_1340211996/480L_V4_Owners_Manual_Rev0_original.pdf
http://melodiefabriek.com/blog/its-a-classic-the-rv7000-reverb/

theres a newer plugin version for snow leopard emulation of this
http://www.oldschooldaw.com/forums/index.php?topic=837.msg869#msg869
but that is offtopic;)

im interested to know if these above impluse responses for altiverb will work with the mac os 9 version.
it also states: The files are .AIF's (impulses) and .PST's (presets for Space Designer).

here we see the similar uad version of the lexicon which they call the lexicon 224
these fader dials really offer  more robust control over the sound of the reverb

ok i see now the 224 was another hardware modell

???
We have VST and RTAS altiverb.

I do not know how to take your comment.

I am feeling ALL MIX and HD users (not only you) are joking on LE and FREE users. Kinda elitist.  >:(

Everyone has what he/she has. No need to point RTAS is a inferior solution to TDM.

I think I have to take it ease.  :P  ;D

now that you mention it, there should be a HTDM and MAS version somewhere, too.

There is not a single Digital Performer evangelist on forum.  :(

It sounds good. And the MasterWorks plugs are awesome/great. Probably there is "So much gear, so little time! " https://www.gearslutz.com/board/so-much-gear-so-little-time/ . For most of us there is no point in knowing workflows in more than 2-3 DAWs

Also there is no HTDM evangelist on forum. I still don't know if Protools HD on OS9 need an iLok or not!

MIX users are legion. It is a tested system.  ;) HD interfaces still cost $$$. And HD cores too.

unfortunately most people are too worried about their own lives to worry about trying to help a community of people looking to rediscover music tech from the past

i can see very clearly the way someone posts on msg boards for instance, whether they care to contribute usefull information, or like rather to brag about themselves...

for me the whole pt of interacting here, is to try to spark discussion that leaves behind a trail of usefull info, it is about the reference information that gets left behind, not the actual discussion
