Matrix Synth by Paul Le Secq.

http://www.440audio.com/en/software/v1164-Paul-Le-Secq-Matrix-Synth/

I've unsuccessfully tried to contact Paul Le Secq in several occasions...

May be someone have this?

curious about this one too - even if the OS9 version "sucks".  is there a decent VCS3 emulator that will run on classic?

I don't think so - it's an extremely demanding synth, one of my top favourites in IOS.
If you're into EMS Synthi A, you can't go wrong with an iPad (1st Air or Mini-2 will work great) just for this synth.
(you may add the Fairlight CMI and the SamplR app, though)  ;D
Not to forget some stuff from Apesoft/Amazing Noises (same team)... which will deliver things not available on desktop or classic IOS.

yes, absolutely recommend the apesoft one on ios - i think its just called iVCS3?

a lot of synths on System 7 arent even real time!  program the patch, render the sound and hope it was close to what you wanted... not a fun way to work, not even in a "limitations spur creativity" kind of way.  but yeah, was not sure if a decent OS9 real time synth with the Synthi paradigm was out there...  the envelopes and filter always seem to be lacking
