Quote
VirSyn Tera is a very flexible and powerful modular synth, capable of some fabulous, complex sounds. It will be an excellent tool for all types of dance music and sound design, provided you can overcome the limitations of the manual

although os 9 isnt mentioned
article claims this is mac/pc with mac os x version coming soon

current version is v3.0 which probably isnt for mac os 9, but for pc/mac os x

Yes it is. I  have tested unsuccessfully half dozen of SN ...

Thank you for this. But Microtera is very limited compared to the original.

Any way, We have Steinberg D'cota that in my opinion is better than the original Tera.

ok this "upload to ftp" Stuff .. i dont like this approach. because this is a closed system. not everyone in the world has access to the ftp.
u can attach any file up to 64mb to any post on this board..
why not just post it publicly.. why upload to (privately accessed) FTP?
or is it up to me to download frm ftp + repackage + attach to public msg;P

but, i am grateful you have this + have shared. i want to check this out right now;)

is microtera the same as the ipad app with the same name?

i have read other posts by other people saying that some registered users with real serial number
also had problems getting their serial number to work. even with a real unique code!!!!!!
i think this may be part of the puzzle

also i spoke with BT just now and he says chameleon 5000 is buggy + cpu hog but he definately has it
but hes not at home, hes in spain right now;) and will not be home for quite some time so we would have to wait
like 6 weeks to get it;)

HI,

I understand you don't like the ftp approach. But I was under the impression that the FTP uploads are used by the administrators to fill up our download section. Since most of us have access to ftp I thought it wasn't a problem. I was unaware of the attachement option. Allthough imho this isn't a very good option either; no overview. But if the general consensus is we should; who am I to disagree.... ;)

Microtera isn't the same as the Ipad app. "microTERA is a fully functional Mac and Windows stand-alone and plug-in and is based on a mixture of VirSyn's TERA and Cube"

Upload to the FTP is a good option because it is a fast way to upload stuff that instantly are available for the FTP users, without having to wait for an admin to post them in the download section, and the FTP users are software contributors so they deserve to be the first to have access to new stuff...

I agree the FTP is the best since any upload can be made "Shared" and this gives a public download link that can be used or emailed to even non members for temporary purpose until we can move and organize the uploaded file

if its something small (i mean 20mb + under) and abandonware.. id rather it get posted publicly on the board.. with a mini overview etc in the same way that the admins post on the dls section... that way the admins can 'harvest' this to create the real listing quickly and then delete the old post even. i mean we are smart people here we can press bold, and type the title and a paste a link and a small description  + reference article right?? ;)
