You have to install FreeMidi. FreeMidi will send data to OMS once the driver is installed and you select "Use OMS" in the FreeMidi preferences.

Necrobumping this to say that in addition to the 2.02 update to the Unisyn application, MOTU have a few updated files for the update here:

http://cdn-data.motu.com/downloads/UnisynMac/uni_2xprofileud.sit.hqx

They don't link to this anywhere from their site, but I found it via archive.org.

The updated profiles are for some E-mu models (Proteus 2000 series) and Alesis Quadraverb 2. The Proteus 2000 with the last firmware (2.26) doesn't work with the Unisyn profile included with 2.0 ("Deviant data received, unexpected status byte" or something). In case I am not the only one trying to use Unisyn with these modules, you have to switch it to multi mode and set channel to edit preset 96 in user bank 3 before you can do live edits. And each layer is in a different window. It's a bit fiddly but it appears to work for me now.
