how do i load the .SYX (sysex files) into fm7? when i click on import sysex files in the library the .SYX files don't get recognised and i can't open them (they don't show up)

Make sure that sysex file have Type "TEXT" and creator what ever you like :)

by the way i found a very nice tool to batch-change filetypes:

For this task I use:

FileTyper (note the "r" at the end) includes an utility for creating customized automatic changers called "AutoTypers", and FileTyper Contextual Menu.

You can Select hundreds of files with "FileType" and do them in one shot... works as good as batch changing

Thank you for the post! I've been looking all over the Internet for FM7 since I dug out my iBook, and it seems my searching has come to an end here. :)

lol -- i havent tried it myself.. :) but this guy says he cant figure out how do it..then again he is very "noob" :)
he told me he put the files in many diff places and couldnt get it to load the other patches
i will try it myself soon.. just was wondering if there was an issue that someone knew about..
