Do it worth to buy the Conceptronic USB/Firewire box instead of a "classic" Oxford chipset firewire one?

One friend gave me a conceptronic box like yours, but it was broken I think (He rip-off the usb female conector from the drive to a midi controller whom USB conector was broke). 

For sure on OS9 firewire >>>>>> usb 1.0, but I suspect Oxford chipset is quicker (even limited to 120 GB) than "conceptronic" one.

Nowadays, the most important thing, is which one you'll find more easily and less expensive

This one was broken too. One of the molex voltage is missing 5v or 12v I don't remember for sure (I done it 2 or 3 years ago) but the IDE to SD works without this voltage. So instead of trash it, I've done this...
