it is always hard to tell if something is 150, 300, or 600 SATA ... recently i was completely lost to terminate a SATA II disk for a SATA I controller, because i didnt know what model the HD was, since the dealer sent us a wrong one ...

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Elephant%20Storage/MAP407/
32.99

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/MacAlly/PHRS100SUAOB/
35$ (with Esata!)

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Elephant%20Storage/MAP412/
59.99 (raid enclosure 3.5")

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/GM3QKIT0GBOB/
97$

i guess the answer is this 32.99 elephant storage one.. ;0
but looking more closely on the owc site it says the psu it comes with is only 2 amp and they reccomend u buy a 3 amp psu for an extra 25$? ugh....

sata doesnt require termination. i think u are confusing SAS or SCSI

if you want to connect a SATA 300 disk to an SATA 150 controller you have to set jumpers for enabling this mode.

if you dont do it, you can almost forget using the HD, it will fail on reading long files. :)

All sata is backward compatible. Some disks have jumpers to force a slower speed in case the auto speed detection isn't working properly on the controller.

perhaps your controller is at fault? if u had a problem?
