Yes, make sure if you have 1 GB, that you give CuBase 400,000 to 500,000 setting for memory, CMD-I

Thanks guys, spot on!

I'm amazed Cubase was working as well as it was with so little memory allocated... I only have 384mb installed at present, more RAM is on it's way, but in the meantime allocating a little more (128 min, 256 preferred) seems to have done the trick.
